Boss: "We Want Scott To Be Even More Of A Nuisance"

26 November 2021

Scott Kashket has been a thorn in the side of the opposition in the last two games and Artell is after more of the same from his wide man.

David Artell says he wants the energetic Scott Kaskhet to become even more of a nuisance after his two excellent performances against Gillingham and AFC Wimbledon. Operating down the right side, the former Wycombe man has worked his socks off for the cause and has been a bit unfortunate not to have added to his personal goal tally after having good chances in both games.

Kashket’s only goal of the campaign so far came in the 1-1 draw at Plymouth Argyle and the Essex born forward will be looking to chip in with a few more goals and assists from his new role in the team.

Artell told crewealex.net: “Scott is a nuisance. He should have scored against Gillingham when he had a one on one saved by the goalkeeper and he didn’t just pull the trigger at Wimbledon after he showed a great piece of skill to chase his own through ball.

“He is going along well and the front three have been a threat in the last couple of games. When you players who can create and score goals then it always gives you a chance to win games of football and we have that at the moment.

“It is pleasing that we look something like we are going to score goals again and create opportunities. If we can tie that in with being harder to break down and score against then we will have a chance of claiming more points.”
