Boss hopes his Alex side can play to their full potential to go and record that first away win of the season in the league this evening.

David Artell has told the club’s official website that our current league position is ‘unacceptable’ and that we have to produce everything in our power to turn it around.

Artell says the results do not lie and that we are currently bottom of the table because of it but the Alex boss remains convinced that with the talent we have inside the dressing room we can turn our predicament around.

Ahead of tonight’s trip to Bolton, the Alex boss told us: “I have spoken to people in League One and people outside League One and they have all said the same thing.

“The League position is what it is and it doesn’t lie, but I think that the group is not a representation of that league position. What we have to do is go out and prove it because at the moment that position is unacceptable for us.

He added: “Only we can turn it around and that is what we are all working hard to do. That starts with giving an accurate account of ourselves at Bolton.”
