"Our Resolve Has Been Tested But We Have To Get On With It"

18 November 2021

David Artell says that he, the staff and players cannot feel sorry for themselves as we look to stay in touch with the clubs above us in the League One table.

Crewe need to start winning games and fast if we are going to give ourselves hope of pulling away from danger and with plenty of points still to play for, Artell says that the mindset has to switch with clawing back points on those clubs currently above us in the table.

Crewe will be aiming for just their second league win of the season when Gillingham will be the visitors to the Mornflake Stadium at the weekend.

Artell told crewealex.net: “We just have to get on with things. There is no point feeling sorry for ourselves or moaning about things. I don’t think I am one for moaning.

“It has been a testing time on and off the pitch over the last few months and we have had to deal with a lot of unexpected things but that is football and that is life. There are always going to be bumps in the road.

He added: “Our resolve has been tested but we have to get on with things and start to win football matches and quickly.”
