David Artell has told the club’s official website that the training ground can be a sombre place at times with results not forthcoming, but the Alex boss says that the spirit inside the camp remains high and that the players are working extremely hard out on the training ground to turn things around as quickly as possible.
Crewe host Gillingham on Saturday aiming to secure only a second league win of the season.
Artell told the club’s official website: “It can be a sombre place at times but all we can do is work hard to come through it and we will come through it.
“All I can do is remain fair, true and honest with the players and make them believe what they are doing is right and that we are heading in the right direction.
“I think the players want their manager to help them and that is what I and the staff are doing and the players feel that we are trying to do that.
He added: “We are all in this together and the onus will be on us to face it head on and start winning games again and quickly.”
