Crewe Alexandra midfielder Tom Lowery has been included in Robert Page’s Wales EFL club training camp from 19th-23rd May 2021. The Alex midfielder will train with other players from the EFL, including current Wales Under-21 Internationals.
Those still involved at Premier League level or EFL play-offs have not been included in the Wales squad and will join up instead on Sunday 23rd May before they fly to Portugal on the Monday to prepare for the forthcoming European Championship next month.
Lowery’s call-up to the EFL squad ends a fantastic season for the midfielder. He made 40 appearances in all competitions for Crewe last season, scoring three goals against Swindon (twice) and Sunderland. His form saw him finish runner-up to Owen Dale as our player-of-the-year.
The talented midfielder, 23, has now amassed 141 first-team appearances and 9 goals since breaking into the Crewe first-team against Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Under-23s in October 2016.
