The Crewe Alex staff completed their mammoth run of 35 miles on Sunday to raise money for Academy goalkeeper Ashton Hulme.
£20,000 is the target for our coaches, which would provide Ashton with the best possible prosthetic. You can keep showing your support by donating to their JustGiving page.
The staff and the Hulme family would like to thank everyone who have already made a donation.
The runners and riders set off around 8am on Sunday from the Alexandra Stadium and visited both the Bet365 Stadium and Vale Park on their highly demanding route.
The first leg of the route saw the lads complete approximately 16 miles until they reached The Bet365 stadium.
The route then took them towards Wychwood Park, followed by a tough incline over Alsager’s Bank!
The next stage saw them heading towards Newcastle-Under-Lyme, along the A34 towards Hanford and then finally reaching destination number one, The Bet365 Stadium.
After a short pit-stop where the staff stopped for pictures with other individuals who were supporting the trek, they then began the relatively short run/cycle of six miles, along the Canal towards Vale Park.
Finally they made the long journey home which was another 13 miles!
After another short Canal run towards Bathpool, the group headed down Butt Lane, through Linley and Alsager. They then arrived in Barthomley, Crewe Green, before the final stretch past the station and back to The Alexandra Stadium.
And that was 35 miles completed!
We'd like to thank everyone who supported the staff on their run from Gresty Road originally, and to those waiting to cheer them on at The Bet365 Stadium and Vale Park.
