Boss says retained list will be finalised in due course.

Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell has told the club’s website that ‘the decisions have been made’ on who he wishes to retain for next season.

The Alex boss has spoken to all those players who are out of contract with the club and he will make formal offers to those who he wishes to retain for the 2021/22 season.

Artell told crewealex.net: “The decisions have been made on the retained list. The lads know where they stand on it and the admin side apart it will be finalised soon.

“I’ve already met with some agents and will continue to have dialogue with them and with the players we have made offers to.

“It is part and parcel of football now and you have to get on with it but these things can become long, drawn out affairs.”
