Crewe Alexandra youngster Nathan Woodthorpe will have to have an operation to rectify some cartilage in his knee.

The full-back, 19, has not made his senior debut for the club but has been a regular for the club’s Under-23s this season.

Meanwhile, midfielder Joe Robbins has overcome his own slight injury and is expected to be involved for some part against Hull City Under-23s this evening.
