David Artell has told the club’s official website that ‘much work will need to be done in the summer’ but says that much will depend on which division we are in.

The Alex boss is still challenging his side to break into the play-off places. With 10 games to go, the Railwaymen can still mount a serious push if we can show a repeat of our unbeaten run back in December through to January. Crewe went unbeaten in ten games to push us closer to the top six.

Artell told the club’s official website: “It looks like being a long summer with the work it will entail. We will be as prepared as we can be to give ourselves the best chance.

“With the resources we have at our disposal compared to other clubs then we have to work harder at it. We will put ourselves in good stead and try to bring the players in who we think will help develop the club.

“Of course, that also depends which division we will be in. We have 10 games left and we have to finish as strongly as we can and see where that can take us. “
