David Artell wants his Crewe Alexandra side to continue their impressive home record with another positive result against a greatly improved Burton Albion side this weekend. Crewe extended their unbeaten run at Gresty Road to 11 games with a deserved 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers last night.
Striker Mikael Mandron was back amongst the goals again, hitting the winner ten minutes into the second half after he had been found by winger Charlie Kirk inside the Doncaster box.
It was no more than Crewe deserved after dominating much of the first half but failing to take full advantage of some good chances.
Artell told the club’s official website: “Our last defeat at home was against Gillingham and that was a travesty as well.
“We have made it a tough place to come. We made it a tough place to come last year in the league below and we have to make sure that remains the same and the case for the rest of this season.
He added: “Then if we can do better away from home then who knows what we can achieve?”
