David Artell has told the club’s official website that Tuesday’s win over Doncaster Rovers has to be followed up with a positive result against Burton Albion. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side are the in-form side in League One and arrive in South Cheshire tomorrow on the back of five straight wins. Their form under the Dutchman has moved them away from the danger zone and they will be waiting to finish the season strongly.
Ahead of the visit of the Brewers test at Gresty Road, Artell told crewealex.net: “It was a good result on Tuesday and we bounced back well from what happened at Lincoln but one result doesn’t make a run and we have to back it up against Burton tomorrow.
“It is a tough league, a really tough league and if you are not at it then it will come back and bite you.
“We have to put a run together and make sure that is both at home and away. We want to put a little run together and that is not beyond us.
“There are 12 games remaining and we know what we have to do. We would like to be closer to the play-off positions or even in them but if someone had told our fans that we would have a chance of getting into the play-off with a games left, they would have snatched their hands off.
“We have to keep going and see where that can take us.”
