Boss has been enjoying the Euros and says England have what it takes to win the big clash tonight.
Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell has been studying the football and tactics on display at Euro 2020 and says that England have a very good chance against Germany this evening if we can get a foothold in midfield.
England tackle Germany at Wembley this afternoon (5pm) with a place in the last eight and a trip to Rome to face Denmark up for grabs.
Artell has been watching the tournament with a keen eye, especially when he was recently away for his pro-licence course.
Artell told crewealex.net: “I have enjoyed the football and it is good to watch it from a tactical point of view and how you would approach things if they were your team or your players.
“I was recently on my pro-licence courses with other coaches and managers, so we got to watch a lot of the games and study them. It was interesting to get those other perspectives and there have been some good teams and some good performances.
“I am not Joachim Low, who has incredible international experience but I would think that if he plays his two midfielders, in Kroos and Gundogan against England’s three then England have a great chance.
He added: “If that is what happens then England could really control the game and be in for a very good night. I think England’s full-backs will look after their wing-backs and I’m sure Gareth (Southgate) and Steve (Holland) would have planned for every eventuality.”
