On loan right back, Kayne Ramsay, has certainly caught the eye in pre-season with his athleticism and ability to progress up the pitch quickly. Ramsay, 20, is on a season long loan from Southampton and the 20-year-old has settled in really quickly at Mornflake Stadium.
His assist in creating Callum Ainley’s goal at Ashton United on Wednesday evening was top class and the Alex supporters would love to see more of that from the Hackney-born defender.
Ramsay is set to make his home ‘debut’ in front of the Alex faithful against Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow and he cannot wait for the experience.
Kayne told the club’s official website: “I have spoken to the gaffer and what he wants from me. He wants me to get forward when I can and run in behind and make sure my man doesn’t get in behind me at the other end.
“I want to show my experience and I’m sure I will be able to add to my game as well whilst I am here.
“To play in front of the fans will be amazing. It is always good to play in front of supporters and have that noise. I am really looking forward to and it took a bit of time to get used to playing without them.
“You always prefer that noise and encouragement when you play.”
