On loan Southampton right-back says dressing room spirit is high ahead of new season.
Summer loan signing, Kayne Ramsay, says he has settled into the club relatively easily as the Alex dressing room is very welcoming and has players around the same age that he can mix with.
Ramsay, 20, has signed on a season-long loan from Southampton and the former Chelsea youngster has already broken through at the elite level and has had a taste of Premier League action against the two Manchester clubs.
The athletic right-back was given his first run-out in pre-season at Nantwich alongside fellow new signings, Shaun Macdonald, Christopher Long and Tommie Hoban. Ramsay played the first 45 minutes in the comfortable 4-1 win.
Kayne has told the club’s official website: “I think I am doing well and getting used to everything and what the gaffer wants me to do. It was good to get my first 45 minutes for the Alex at Nantwich. It was a good experience to play my first game in front of the fans and physically it was good.
“I have settled down really quickly. The dressing room is good and everyone has been welcoming. Everyone is together and everyone gets on well, it has been a good experience.
“The pre-season has been tough but I need it for my legs for the remainder of the season. I am getting used to it but every day after training I’ve had a shower and had a sleep!
Kayne added: “I wanted to come here at the beginning of pre-season and test myself. I didn’t want to come in the middle or at the end and be behind some of the others. I wanted to come out on a season-long loan and get my head down. I not seen my family, so obviously I miss them but hopefully they will be able to come up and watch a game soon. “
