Crewe Alexandra's pre-season friendly with Huddersfield Town has been cancelled due to the Terriers' involvement in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The Railwaymen were set to face the Sky Bet Championship side in their final game of pre-season but they will now be starting their 21-22 campaign early against Sheffield Wednesday.
