Club's 5th summer signing believes exciting times ahead for Alex
Crewe Alexandra’s latest signing, Callum McFazdean, has told the club’s official web-site that the chance to develop as a player with us was one of the major draws that has seen him move to Mornflake Stadium. The 27-year-old has signed a one-year deal following his release in the summer from Sunderland and he will initially challenge Rio Adebisi for the left back spot.
After completing his move to Crewe this afternoon, McFazdean told the club’s official web-site: “I am delighted with it. I had a few chats with the gaffer and it is a chance to develop myself as a player.
“I am just delighted to have it sorted and now I can get cracking now.
“Everyone knows that Crewe like to play good football and they have a certain style of play. Obviously the formation they play and stuff like that fits me to a tee and the work we are going to do on the training field. That is a major plus as well.
“I want to get better and obviously being here under this management that is only going to benefit me in my career.
Callum added: “It will take me a bit to get up to speed but I have done work over the summer and had PT sessions. I was in a similar situation last year and I feel I have kept myself in a good condition. It shouldn’t take too long and it is all about getting game time under my belt. There is a lot of games coming up, so it shouldn’t take too long.”
There is more from Callum available now on the club’s YouTuvbe channel.
