David Artell has told the club’s official website that one of the main reasons he has signed the players he has this summer resides in the fact that possess the flexibility to play in different positions and within different formations.
The Alex boss has signed four new players the closed season and he is looking for two or three more new faces to replace those that have left and to improve his squad for the forthcoming campaign in League One.
Crewe continue their pre-season preparations with a double header of friendlies at Witton and Ashton United this evening.
Artell told crewealex.net: “One of the main reasons we have signed the players we have is their flexibility to play in different positions or fulfil different roles if needed. They have the experience to do that and that will help us.
“They will know the positions and the next thing will be to develop those relationships. That takes time but we will get there and work on it. We will have a right good go at that and see how we get on because that will be important going forward as well.”
