Alex boss says Cotterill's Shrews are a tough nut to crack.
Alex boss David Artell has wished Steve Cotterill a speedy recovery in his fight against Covid-19 ahead of tonight’s meeting with his Shrewsbury Town side.
Cotterill has had a spell in intensive care but has improved considerably over the last couple of weeks and everyone at Crewe Alexandra wishes the experienced manager well in his recovery.
Ahead of this evening’s match, Artell told crewealex.net: “Firstly, everyone at the club wishes Steve a speedy recovery. We wish him all the best.
“I have seen Shrewsbury twice against Doncaster and Blackpool and they are extremely hard to break down. They are very hard working and competitive and it will be another tough nut to crack. They have a bit about them and that is down to Steve.
“He has gone in and done a great job. You can see that by the results they have been having. He sets them up well, they are well organised and you have to match their work ethic or you are in trouble.
He added: “They are in great form and it is going to be a tough game. We have to accept the challenge but like I’ve said, we respect everyone and don’t fear anyone. We will have to play well to get a resuilt, I know that.”
