David Artell has admitted the next six week in League One will be pivotal to our chances of breaking into a possible play-off position.

The Alex face Peterborough United this weekend at the start of a challenging period of fixtures but the Alex boss is something to embrace on our return to League One.

Artell told crewealex.net: “These next six weeks will be pivotal, if not absolutely definite. We will win all six or lose all six, it still wouldn’t mathematically decide everything but it would provide a strong platform as we enter the run-in.

“There are some great games coming up, starting at Peterborough this weekend. That is what we want and it is great to be involved. That is what we worked so hard for last season and in the first half of this season, to give ourselves a chance.

“Now with the next six weeks, we will see where we can get do and then there will be a dozen games left to get as many points as we can.

He added: “If we can get over the right side of the line in the majority of these next six games then we would have a decent chance of getting where we want to be.”
