Pickering Completes Blackburn Move And Will Return To Crewe On Loan For Rest Of The Season

Left-back signs at Ewood Park until the summer of 2025 but will return to Gresty Road on loan.

Harry Pickering has today completed a move to Championship side Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old defender or midfielder has agreed a four-and-half year contract at Ewood Park to take him through to the summer of 2025 after the two clubs agreed a fee for his services.

As part of the agreement, the Chester-born full-back will return to Crewe Alexandra on loan for the remainder of the season.

Pickering has captained the club since the departure of Perry Ng to Cardiff City and the former Academy graduate has amassed 145 appearances for the Railwaymen, scoring 10 goals since breaking into the first team back in April 2017.

His ability to play in a number of positions made him a key member of David Artell’s promotion winning side last season.

He made 39 appearances in all competitions before the season was curtailed in March due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to congratulate Harry on his move to Blackburn Rovers.
