Artell: 'These Three Points Could Have A Massive Impact In The Long Run'

19 February 2021

Crewe Alexandra manager, David Artell, says the players have to ‘appreciate the gravity of the three points’ against Swindon Town this weekend.

The Alex will be looking to put some points on the board after a fortnight off due our game against Portsmouth being called off for bad weather. In our last outing at London Road, the Alex were beaten 2-0 by Darren Ferguson’s promotion chasing side.

Ahead of our trip to the County Ground, the Alex boss told us: “The challenge is there for us and we have to get our heads around it.

“It is another chance for us to get three points and we have to grasp the gravity and seriousness of that and make sure we do.

“The players have to know the impact these three points could have in the long run. The players have to keep going and make sure we get to where we want to go.

“Let’s not settle for where we are, let’s keep pushing and see where we can get to.

He added: “We have to keep moving forward and that has to start again tomorrow. “
