Ben Knight’s scan on his ankle injury has returned positive news. The on-loan Manchester City youngster suffered the injury in training ruling him out of home game with Sheffield Wednesday when he was set to start his second successive game.

Knight will continue his rehabilitation back at his parent club and is expected to be out for the next three-to-four weeks. The 19-year-old suffered an ankle injury away at Leeds United back in late August and although he bravely played through the pain barrier over the next three fixtures, he was ruled out until he successfully returned against MK Dons at the end of October.

Knight’s stop-start career at Crewe has limited him to 11 appearances and two goals.
