David Artell remains optimistic that football won’t stop due to recent developments in the pandemic but he says that everyone has to remain sensible and not take any unnecessary risks.
The Crewe Alexandra manager told the club’s official website that we can only abide by the latest regulations and guidance offered by the EFL and Government.
Artell told the club’s official website: “I am not sure that football will stop. Do we stop for a week or 10 days and then it flairs up again do we stop again? I am not sure it prevents the spread and it would become stop/start.
“All we can do is be led by the science and the numbers and that can change at any time. There are greater restrictions in place and football is highly regulated.
“Our buildings adhere to the rules and the players and staff have been great. We have reverted back to the restrictions implemented by the red procedures and we just get on with it. “
