David Artell is hoping that all Crewe Alexandra supporters enjoy an ‘uneventful Christmas’ and that their celebrations are not ruined by a positive Covid test for them or any of their family.

Artell has wished all fans a Merry Christmas.

The Crewe boss told the club’s official website: “Firstly, I would like to wish all our fans a Merry Christmas and I hope they have a great day with their loved ones.

“Christmas is always a special time and I actually hope that they do not have any Covid drama. I think everyone is craving an uneventful Christmas and New Year. I hope no-one tests positive for Covid and they can enjoy the day without taking too many risks.

“I just hope they can enjoy it and there are no dramas and we cootball an get back to playing again soon.”
