"The Creativity Will Come"

26 August 2021

Crewe boss David Artell says he is not overly concerned with the number of goals we have scored so far this season but he has admitted that we are adjusting to losing a lot of creativity from the team.

Crewe have not scored two in a game as yet and have scored just twice through Mikael Mandron and Callum Ainley in our opening six matches in all competitions.

Artell knows that has to improve and remains confident that we will bring to create and take chances.

Artell told crewealex.net: “We haven’t scored as many goals as we would have liked but we have also lost a lot of creativity from the team. We have lost Kirky, Pixie and even Perry (Ng) who chipped in with a few goals and assists.

“We haven’t got Owen at the moment as he is ill, so we have lost some creativity but we have to integral our new players into that.

“I thought Ben (Knight) was terrific the other night at Leeds. He is a young boy finding his feet and I thought he was really brave in possession.

“We will continue to work with the players and they will be fine.”
