Crewe Alexandra will be without suspended defender, Luke Offord, for the EFL Cup tie at Elland Road tonight after the Alex youngster was red carded in the final minute of our home defeat to Accrington Stanley at the weekend. Offord saw red after collecting two yellow cards and will now miss the trip to Leeds.

His absence will provide an opportunity at the back with Donervon Daniels and Billy Sass-Davies vying for the position.

Crewe will also check on a number of first-team players, who have been suffering from the Norovirus or who are still recovering from the after-effects. The likes of Chris Long, Owen Dale, goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen, Callum McFadzean and Daniels have all had to recover after missing training sessions and matches.
