David Artell has revealed that there has been no movement in regards to Tom Lowery signing a new deal with the club. The midfielder had been made an offer by Artell and the club and has so far refused to put pen-to-paper.
Artell says that the 23-year-old will not feature for the club until he commits his future but he continues to train in a professional manner.
Artell told the club’s official website: “It is still very similar. The ball is in Tommy’s court. We have made him an offer and he doesn’t want to sign it because of some of the clauses in it.
“We have presented some facts to him to prove our point and he doesn’t believe it, or his agent doesn’t and we are where we are.
He added: “He has taken some poor advice and it is harming his career. As I’ve said, no-one person is bigger than this football club. Not me, the chairman, the previous chairman, not Tommy and certainly not his agent.”
