Break will give us time to put the work into the players.
Kenny Lunt says that the free weekend due to the Internationals will give the management team time to work with the new players coming into the club.
Crewe signed Scott Kashket and Scott Robertson before tonight’s 11pm deadline to bolster our options and Lunt believes it will also give us the luxury of 10 days to work with all the new summer singings too.
The club’s assistant manager told us: “It has been difficult with the turnover of players we have had. A number of players have left and although it is not so much starting again because we have a good base but we need to add some quality and competition to the squad.
“With the new players we have managed to bring in they will need time to learn about us and we need to learn about them.
“They have perhaps come from different ways of playing, so we will put the work into them and the next 10 days after the Shrewsbury game will give us some valuable time.
“They are good players and we know they will be able to fit into our system. The break will come at a good time and will give the players the time to settle.”
