Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the signing of Manchester City’s Ben Knight on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old becomes our seventh addition of the summer as David Artell bolsters his attacking options following the departure of Charlie Kirk late last week.

Cambridge-born, Knight, joined Manchester City’s academy in 2018 from fellow League One outfit Ipswich Town and was a key part of their title winning Premier League 2 campaign last season.

The young forward, who can play in various roles across the front has represented England at International level with both the under-17s and under-18s.

The gaffer’s latest recruit will be available for selection ahead of tomorrow night’s trip to the Kassam Stadium as the Alex look to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat.
