Ben Knight: "I Enjoyed Making My Debut But There Is More To Come From Me"

On loan Manchester City startlet wants to help Crewe start to pick up wins in League One.

Loan signing Ben Knight made his Crewe Alexandra debut away at Oxford United on Tuesday evening and boss David Artell was pleased with the impact the teenager from Manchester City made in that second half improvement at the Kassam Stadium.

The 19-year-old winger though believes that there is a lot more to come from him after completing his season long loan switch to Mornflake Stadium

The club’s new number 10, who is hoping to make his home debut against Accrington this weekend said: “The first half (at Oxford) we didn’t play brilliantly but I think there is quite a few new players and we are all trying to get used to each other.

“Towards the last 20, 25 minutes though, we started to show what we could do. I think it’s a work in progress but after a few training sessions and a few more games we will know exactly what we want to do. I think we will be fine.

“I loved every minute of my debut, the fans were brilliant and made a lot of noise. I didn’t play my best game but it was first game for Crewe and I know there will be more to come from me.

“We played a lot better in that last 25 minutes and created a few chances. I didn’t think we deserved to lose the game, whether we deserved to win it? I don’t know either but we were unlucky not to get something out of it.

Ben added: “I am really excited about the move. Crewe was the perfect place for me to come out and play my football and we have a load of games coming up, so the more minutes I can get the better I will become and hopefully I can start to get a few goals and assists.”
