On-loan City winger unwell after vaccination but expected to travel to London this weekend.

Crewe Alexandra’s on-loan winger, Ben Knight, has not trained today after feeling unwell following his vaccination. The Manchester City youngster, who performed admirably at Elland Road on Tuesday night in the Carabaro Cup is fully expected to travel to London for our game against Charlton Athletic this weekend.

Artell told the club’s official website: “Ben has his vaccination yesterday and has woken up feeling unwell so he will stay off.

“We are sure he will be okay to train with us tomorrow and travel to Charlton.

“To have the vaccination is the choice of the player. It is their right to choose if they have it or not but those rights stop if they are not allowed to play football, not that I think it will come to that.

“It is the same if they cannot board a plane or go to a nightclub for instance if they have not been double jabbed. Their rights have not been infringed on then if they are the rules because it is affecting everyone’s health and the jabs work and are working.”
