David Artell says the objective is to keep on progressing year on year and the Alex boss admits that last season is tinged with a touch of disappointment that we just fell short of the play-offs. The Alex boss just felt that our level of performance just let us down on occasions and we didn’t reach the level of consistency needed to break into that top six.
The Alex boss has improved the club’s league finishes each year he has been in charge and that will be the aim again after finishing in 12th spot last time out on our return to League One.
David told crewealex.net: “The plan is to progress and improve on what we achieved last season. We want to keep on progressing each year and make sure we finish as high as we can.
“That is the plan and we are always looking to improve. How much of a degree that improvement is going to be? We will find out.
“We know we have to improve in certain areas, more than ours, but that is the challenge and if we can do and build that momentum then who knows where it can take us?
“Everyone has worked hard over the summer and although a lot is made of the first game there are 45 others as well and we want to win as many as possible.”
