Ryan Wintle will be assessed today to see if he is fit enough to return for Crewe Alexandra at Fleetwood Town tomorrow night. The midfielder has missed the club’s last two games against Portsmouth and Wigan due to a groin strain.
The 23-year-old has been one of our most consistent performers, featuring in 44 games this season.
Manager David Artell said: “Ryan is closer but we will have to see how he is today. We will assess him today to see if he is fit and available again.”
Rio Adebisi will also be assessed after suffering a head injury against Portsmouth and Crewe will be without centre-half Omar Beckles, who will serve a one-match suspension following his red card on Saturday at Wigan Athletic for a professional foul.
