Boss gears up for home meeting with Karl Robinson's Oxford.
Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell has been impressed with Oxford United's transformation in form this season and having watched them recently knows that his side have a difficult game.
Crewe won 2-0 at the Kassam Stadium back in November but after that the U’s went on a tremendous seven game winning streak over December and in to the New Year to quickly move up the table.
Ahead of this weekend’s fixture at Gresty Road, Artell told the club’s official website: “I have seen Oxford a couple of times recently. I am sure Karl (Robinson) would agree that there was a contrast in performances between the Northampton and Lincoln games.
“I didn’t think they played well enough in the Northampton game to get a result but they were very good against Lincoln and deserved to win.
“Oxford have good players and I always thought they were in a false position. They reached the play-offs last season and they didn’t become a poor team the following season that’s for sure. They are a good team and we have to be wary of their strengths, as well as trying to exploit their weakness.
He added: “It will be another tough game and both sides will be aiming to get the three points and put themselves in a healthier position in the table.”
