Crewe Alexandra’s leading marksman Mikael Mandron was delighted that his brace at Stadium MK on Monday saw us bounce back quickly from that undeserved late defeat to Hull City.
Mandron returned to the starting line-up against the Dons and his two finely take goals in the opening 20 minutes set the Alex up for another superb away win against one of the most in-form teams in League One.
Mandron’s two goals took his personal tally for the season to 12 goals but he was just pleased that it helped the Alex get back to winning ways again.
Mika told the club’s official website: “It was a great team performance all round and a great three points for us. I thought we played really well as a team and deserved the win.
“We had a tough final 15 minutes but other than that I thought we controlled the whole game. We knew that MK Dons would have a load of the ball but we set up to nick it high up the pitch and create chances and that is what happened.
“I was pleased to score the two goals and it makes a massive difference. Not only for me personally as the centre forward but for the whole team. It showed the intent we had to create chances and take them and it helps.
“We should have scored more and maybe I could have scored a hat-trick but next time.
Mika added: “I thought we played really well on Friday and didn’t deserve to lose (to Hull) but we managed to bounce back quickly and we did and it breeds confidence.”
