Great That Clubs Are Leading The Charge Against Racism

30 April 2021

Boss says tech giants have to do more...as clubs plan weekend boycott of social media platforms.

Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell is fully supportive of the sport’s stance against discrimination on social media platforms.

EFL clubs will be leading a boycott over the weekend to make a powerful stand-point against racism and every other form of abuse online.

Ahead of football’s united boycott, the Alex boss said: “I believe it is a positive step against all discrimination and racism is leading the charge on that. We have taken the knee this season because it is important that we do.

“I think my moral compass is high and you do need to make a stance.

“If people are stupid enough to put insults and offensive things online then they have to face the consequences.  That is the modern era we live in and I think that these tech giants need to do the right thing and police their platforms properly.

“I don’t think they are doing that at the moment and they have the responsibility to do that. “
