Club hopeful simple procedure will enhance Porter's return from foot injury.

Chris Porter will undergo an injection on Thursday to hopefully speed up his recovery from his foot injury. The experienced forward, who topped the club’s goalscoring charts last season with 14 goals from his 31 appearances before national lockdown, has suffered a slight tear in his heal.

Although the former Derby and Sheffield United forward is making significant progress, it is just felt that this further injection may help with inflammation and enhance his freedom of movement.

Porter has never suffered with this type of injury before in his long career and it is hoped that he will back sooner rather than later after suffering the freakish injury in pre-season.

Meanwhile, full-back Rio Adebisi, who made his breakthrough last season has resumed running again and is heading in the right direction for a return to training.
