Left-Back becomes the latest youngster to commit his future

Crewe Alexandra’s first choice left back, Harry Pickering, has signed a new and improved three-year contract with the club.

Pickering, 21, becomes the latest of the club’s youngsters to commit his future following promotion to League One.

The Chester-born defender has established himself in David Artell’s starting XI over the last three seasons and has already surpassed over 100 first-team appearances after initially breaking through in April 2017. 

Pickering was one of Crewe’s most consistent performers last season, scoring three goals in 39 appearances before the Coronavirus Pandemic prematurely ended the campaign in March with Crewe Alexandra top of the League Two table.

The Academy graduate’s versatility and ability can also see him operate in a number of midfield positions or as a number 10.
