David Artell has told revealed that he has ‘one or two’ injury concerns to content with ahead of our opening League One fixture against Charlton Athletic.
The Alex boss says that some of the club’s injured players will not be fit in time to start against Lee Bowyer’s side.
Crewe host the Addicks at Gresty Road behind closed doors and Artell says that all his players and staff have tested negative for Covid-19.
Artell told crewealex.net: “We have one or two concerns but I would imagine most clubs are in the same boat.
“Whoever is fit and available will be in contention.
“We have not had one positive test at the club. We have been tested regularly in pre-season and into the season and the players and staff have all had negative tests.
The boss added: “It will be a challenge against a very good Charlton side but one we are all looking forward to. We feel as though we are a League One side and now over the next few months we have to go and show how much of a League One side we are.”
