David Artell says that Owen Dale will continue to get in behind and be a threat. The Alex boss says that the winger continues to work hard on his end product.
Dale had a great chance to open the scoring against Hull City on Saturday but was denied by a good save by Matt Ingram in the first half.
The former Academy graduate continues to get into good positions and opened his tally for the season with a stunning strike against Bolton Wanderers in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Artell said following the 1-0 defeat to the Tigers: “Owen kept getting in and he only came off at the end because he was shattered. He keeps getting in there and if he does then he will score and create goals.
“He scored a terrific goal at Bolton coming off the wing and he has had chances in all the games he has played.
“Owen knows he has to work on his end product. He knows he can improve his finishing and his final ball but his attitude and desire to get in behind and be a threat has been a real positive.”
