Boss Hails Mandron Impact Following Brace At Bolton

9 September 2020

David Artell has hailed the performance of Mikael Mandron after he opened his goalscoring account for the club with a brace against Bolton Wanderers last night.

Mandron slotted home the winning penalty with two minutes remaining to seal an impressive 3-2 victory in the club’s opening group game in the Checkatrade Trophy and Artell was impressed with his overall performance.

Artell told the club’s official website: “Mikael’s hold up play was terrific for us and he was the most effective player on the pitch in the final 15 minutes.

“It is great for him that he is off the mark with his goals and we will continue to work with him and look to improve him and make him even more effective for us.

“He is keen to learn and get better and I’m sure he will play his part this season. It is the same for everyone, they will all be needed at some stage and they have to be ready.”
