Bolton Have A Great Chance Of Success After Mass Recruitment Drive

8 September 2020

David Artell says that Bolton Wanderers’ positive recruitment drive under new boss Ian Evatt will have the club heading back in the right direction after a number of years of financial troubles. The Wanderers will be one of the pre-season favourites for promotion from League Two following the signing of a host of good and experienced players this summer.

Crewe Alexandra travel to the University of Bolton Stadium this evening for our first group game in the Checkatrade Trophy and the Alex boss knows it will be another tough test.

Artell told the club’s official website: “I am sure we will face some of the players we did in the recent friendly games and Ian and his staff have worked hard on their recruitment this summer.

“He has a real rebuild on his hands, but I am sure the Bolton fans will look at it and see that they are giving it a real go. They will be looking to turn thing around and have a successful season.

“With the players they have managed to attract this summer they have a got a great chance of success this season.

He added: “They are a good side and hopefully we can meet them before they really gel and come together and take advantage of that.”
