Boss Looking Forward To Another Good Game Against MK Dons

24 September 2020

Russell Martin's Dons come to Gresty Road this weekend

David Artell expects another ‘good game of football’ against MK Dons this weekend. The Alex are aiming to register their first League One points of the season after losing their opening two games to former Championship sides, Charlton Athletic and Hull City.

Crewe host the MK Dons at Gresty Road behind closed doors after the government halted plans for our pilot this weekend.

Artell told the club’s official website: “It should be another good game. The MK Dons play a different shape and formation to the ones we have played so far that will be a new challenge.

“The MK Dons have promoted a number of young players and gone down that path. They do have a selected of experienced players as well to help them along, so they are a bit similar to us. They have that blend and they will be looking their mark as well so it will be a tough game.

He added: “We are at home and of course, it is different to playing without the supporters, but we have to make sure our home form is good. We know we have to pick up some points and we will do everything we can to make sure we do this weekend.”
