David Artell says there were 'lots to take away' from Saturday’s narrow defeat to Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup.
Crewe exited the first round following the 2-1 defeat at the Alexandra Stadium and Artell has told the club’s official web-site that he learned a lot from the performance.
Artell told the club’s official website: “There were lots to take from the game. I obviously don’t want to divulge too much and we will watch the video as a group. We will go through some selected clips and work on those things going forward.
“We know we can improve on things and we will do.
“Having no fans inside the stadium is what it is. I would prefer there to be a crowd and the sooner we can get them back the better. Hopefully that will happen.
“It does make a difference with the atmosphere but I don’t think it necessarily affects the result. If we were 3-0 up in 10 minutes then that would make a massive difference with a crowd behind us but if we were 1-0, 2-0 down then it can have the opposite effect.
“We are all in the same situation with it and we have to get on with it for now.”
