Artell: "Everyone Keeping Fingers Crossed That We Can Get Some Fans Back"

Boss hoping for green light for pilot game against MK Dons.

David Artell says everyone at Crewe Alexandra is keeping their ‘fingers firmly crossed’ that we can avoid a local lockdown and we will be able to welcome a selection of supporters back into the Alexandra Stadium for the visit of MK Dons on 26th September.

Artell believes that if everyone continues to follow government guidelines then the Football Club will have a ‘great chance’ of hosting our potential pilot game.

David told the club’s official website: “I think everyone has the responsibility to do there bit and that means abiding to the government advice. It is important to keep washing your hands, keep social distancing and stick to the six ruling in households.

“If we keep on being responsible then hopefully we can have some the fans back in a week on Saturday. That’s the plan and it will be a terrific thing if it happens.

“What we don’t want is a second spike and have a local lockdown in East Cheshire. We are keeping our fingers crossed because we all want the supporters back with us.”
