David Artell says that the door remains very much open for his experienced defender Eddie Nolan.

The former Eire-International is now back fully fit and made his first appearance for the club’s under-23s against Coventry City in the week. He completed 90 minutes in the 3-2 defeat by the Sky Blues.

Artell told the club’s official web-site: “Eddie is fit and training with us. He has been out training every day and there is nothing new to report with him.

“It is up to him to train well, to play well for the Under-23s and try and get in the team. With the transfer window coming up, we will look at things if anything comes across the desk and take it from there.”
