Crewe Alexandra To Provide 400 Free Packed Lunches A Day During October Half Term

23 October 2020

Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce a scheme that will see the Football Club provide 400 free packed lunches per day for school children during the October half-term.

In conjunction with The Railwaymen Supporters Society and The Alexandra Soccer Centre, the Football Club have today made the decision to provide free takeaway packed lunches throughout the Autumn half-term.

In the light of the public campaign from England and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, the Football Club feel this is the right thing to do as they look to further support the local community in these challenging times.

The Football Club originally pledged 100 lunches, and this was then added to by Rhino Safety (100 Per Day), former midfielder Ashley Westwood (100 per day)!

Further donations of 100 daily meals, including 50 from AutoSmart Crewe and Nantwich, took the total to an incredible 400 a day.

The free packed lunches will be available from the Alexandra Stadium Club shop daily from 10:30 AM throughout the October half term which runs from Monday 26th - Friday 30th.

The 400 free lunches will distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.
