Artell: "There Is Still Plenty To Come From This Team"

12 October 2020

David Artell says there are plenty of positives to take from Saturday’s 3-0 win over MK Dons. Goals from Luke Offord, Harry Pickering and Mikael Mandron gave the Railwaymen a convincing win at Gresty Road - but the boss says there is still more to come from his team.

Crewe now travel to Oxford United this week for our re-arranged fixture hoping three more points will propel us into the top six.

Artell told crewealex.net: “There were plenty of positives to take from the performance on Saturday, the clean-sheet, the goals we scored and most importantly the three points.

“The performance was matched by the result but you only get three points for winning a game of football.

“We played some really good football on Saturday and controlled the game after the first 10 minutes but we are not waxing lyrical about it. We don’t get carried away here. We move on quickly and that means Oxford.

“It is a tough league and there is a long way to go. Saying that I still think there is a lot to come from this team. We have only played four league games and we are improving with each game and that is always we have asked of the players.”
