Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that his squad is well equipped to cope with the demanding fixture list of League One and Cup football. Crewe are still in the Checkatrade Trophy and have an FA Cup tie to look forward to on November 7th.
The Alex boss says that everyone is in the same boat and you have to crack on with it.
The Crewe boss told us: “The games are coming thick and fast and that is why it is a squad game. You have to be ready.
“We had a terrific pre-season and the lads worked really hard and we strength in depth. There are only a few in the squad, who I would regard as development players if you like, and some of them are not that far off either.
“I don’t think we have too many mid-weeks free from now until the New Year really but we are all paid to play football, so that won’t be a problem.
The boss added: “The players all know that we will need them all at some point at different levels and for different competitions, so they have to be ready.”
