Skipper Ng targets home win over Gills this evening
Perry Ng has told the club’s official website that a return of 10 points from a tough start to the new season is ‘not bad’ but it could be a lot better according to the club captain.
The Liverpool-born youngster says that the dressing room has been left disappointed by the fact that we haven’t acquired as many points as we should have. The right-back says there is more to come from the group and that he has been disappointed by his own individual displays over the last few games.
Perry told crewealex.net: “We have got 10 points from the 9 games and that is not too bad, but it could have been even better. We know that we should have more points than we have but that is football and sometimes you don’t always get what you deserve.
“Ten points is okay but it’s not great. We want to be right up and hopefully we can get back to winning ways against Gillingham and start to build some momentum again.
“On a personal level, I have had a tough couple of weeks and my performances have not been good enough. I know I can improve and help the team more.
“I’ve been working hard to improve and there is a load of games to look forward to and I am sure I will get that consistency back.
He added: “We have lost two of the bounce now so it is important we get back to winning ways against Gillingham. We want the three points and take that into the FA Cup game on Saturday, which is another important game.”
